Why US price is much cheaper than CA?????not fair
Just brought a Metroplex from Toysrus in ottawa. Priced 69.99.. almost 80 after taxes...Just checked toysrus US site they're only 40+tax and shipping... Since CAD is mostly the same exchange rate to US dollars...
Any one has any ideas how to find them shipped to CA from US in a good price exclude ebay???????????????????

Tax, Exchange rate, Shipping, Duty, canada market value vs US market value, a sale in the US, etc....

well there's been no price setting adjustments since the Canadian $ has gotten stronger over the last couple of years, that I find unfair but not surprising. With a weaker $ it was more of a few extra $ for having to produce bilingual packaging for a smaller market, but now that the $s are pretty much equal we're paying 150% of what we'd pay in the US.

Yet with the dollar where it is...businesses are still whining they're losing money.
Yet they buy at what 1.90 on the dollar and sell it to us on ummm 1.65 ?! So they're making an extra 25 cents approx on every transaction.
And that DOES add up !!! Now I know we are seeing change...i dunno if anyone else has noticed has the price of laptops have dropped like a rock lately...that's part of the strong dollar effect.
Anyways yes the prices suck...the US getting all the exclusives suck...and I can only hope that the new Target in Brampton will see some exclusives !

When it comes to pricing, Canadians are getting screwed. I think part of it comes from the fact that the packaging has to be bilingual. So it probably costs a bit more to produce pamphlets with English,French and Spanish. Prices on voyager and leader class figures exploit us the most. We pay almost double on the leader class. Something just isn't right.
