Re: Foam G1 style Ravage.

I'm not digging the curved neck, it should be straight to homage Ravage's G1 heritage;
although in your colour mock-up it seems fine.

But Matrix! That Decepticon 3D symbol is fanatstic!!

Re: Foam G1 style Ravage.

Lol you're using those foam mats for kids to make this? This is awesome. You should make a base for this ravage too. I can't wait to see the final pictures. Keep up the great work

Re: Foam G1 style Ravage.

Thanks.
I did another 2 1/2 hours today and here is what I have so far.
I built some of the back legs today, I messed up a bit, see the large gap in the back of each one, it is not suppose to be that big. I could redo the legs or try and cut foam to fit, but I figured I would add something else to it and give it a bit of my own look to it.

So I got some empty till receipt rolls and made some hydraulic looking parts.

I cut the foam a little to fix the pieces in.

here is what I have.

Good idea on the "hydraulic" parts.

Re: Foam G1 style Ravage.

Here is the latest. I have finished all four legs and feet, they need a little cleaning but that's nothing. All I need to do now is the tail, bottom jaw and underbelly. Then I need to build a base of some sort. I am going to supporting Ravage with a wooden poll (Eventually I will get a clear acrylic tube) the poll will be coming out around the middle of him and be fixed to a small flat wooden base, high enough that his feet will rest on the floor but not actually support him.

Here are all the pieces for the feet.

And here is everything balanced together. I can not glue the feet to the legs or the legs to the body yet as they need to be painted.
