Some quick thoughts on Transformers animated 104 (no spoilers)

It'll be a week before the next the next episode airs up here, at least according to YTV's schedule. Many of us who can't wait, and have already seen it. I won't mention any details about the story,(we'll save that for the official thread and poll), but I have to say, this upcoming episode I feel is a drastic improvement over the initial three offerings.
However in terms of story, I was let down. There were obvious elements that pandered to it's young demographic. Sari, as a character still seems uninteresting, and the writers reliance on her magical plot device contracts her from being a compelling force. Still, her annoyance does not detract from a generally entertaining episode.
The most remarkable aspect of this production is the quality of animation, which is significantly higher than before. I've been really critical of the art direction of this new series, but after watching 104, I have finally witnessed the fullest potential of this art direction. This is episode features some of the best animation for series television, and it really brings to life this series' classical influences.
Realistically. the caliber of these production values will not hold up an ongoing series that have more than thirteen episodes. I'm hoping I'll be sold on the story to compensate. It's still too early to say if it'll be good, but one thing is definite; I'm really looking forward to what happens next.

Yes episode 104 was impressive in terms of animation. It seemed like a jump from the pilot "movie". The series has so much going for it right now I don't even know where to begin.

You know what I like about this show so far? The innovative use of half-transformations, vehicles parts in robot mode and robot parts in vehicle mode. And all the cool gadgets they're using (Prime seems to be loaded with gimmicks).
