I've bought from Automaton. Their prices back then were basically Canadian equivalent to what the US prices was with the exchange rate calculated which was pretty good especially since they offer flat rate shipping and you only pay 5% tax buying from them.

It is a shame that their prices are now in US but it would have had to be to be viable for them to survive this downturn on the exchange rate.

I always order directly from Japanese. With their perpetual discount, even with the poor exchange rate it's still a better deal than buying from import shops with their ridiculous middleman markup, especially when the exchange rate is poor. Also CDN$ is down due to rise in US$ but CDN$ exchange rate with JPY hasn't changed much.

Tell me about it...every $100 I need to spend about $25 more. Absolutely ridiculous. Right now I'm pretty much just purely buying Takara toys off of Japanese sites because it's cheaper than buying from the States and practically the same as buying locally.

ARGH. I got an open fist Arcee who can't hold her weapons right. Is there anyone that wanted an open fist one who wants to do a straight trade for a closed-fist version? Or did I pretty much get the crappy version no one wants? Let me know before I take a knife to it so she can actually hold her guns properly...
