How the war should end?
There were many Wars in the Transformers universe, some wars are for conquest and some wars are just pointless they're just there. Both sides had casualties throughout the war. How you think the war would end, cause it will end eventually, via a truce when Megatron, finally woke up and saw that the war is pointless and nothing will be gained out of it expect loosing their home world and that resulted Cybertron being nothing but a buried wasteland. Or the other option could be, some Decepticons got tired of this whole nonsense war and decided to abandon the Decepticon cause, and go off to other worlds to live peacefully.
Your opinions? Thoughts?

In the comics, the war did end.

Nah, They catpure Megatron and make him stand trial for all his crimes against Cybertron and humanity. They sentence him to space jail and he escapes and goes the run recruiting Decpticons along the way and rebuilds his army and so the cycle begins again. Like sands through the hour glass, so are the days or our transformers.

Re: How the war should end?
I really like IDW's current output but the ending of the war and the weird sloppy repopulation of Cybertron aren't great. Let's keep in mind; AHM basically says the 'cons hack all the beep boops and whoops now they've won. Then Megatron gets hit in the head so nope they've lost. I've enjoyed RID the entire way through, but IDW can't decide if they want there to be 10k transformers living in a hovel in the ruins of Iacon, or if Metroplex should be there, or if they actually live all over out in space or ... Mess is a fair description.

By terribly, do you mean how it ended, or how it currently is?
I think the way Costa ended his run with "Chaos" and having D-Void as the main villain was a pretty awful and lame way to end the war.
On the other hand, the stories that have sprung up post-war in IDW have been some of the best fiction the franchise has ever seen, so it all ended up being for the greater good anyways.
