Exposing Your Figures to "Guests"

hey,

alright time for another interesting question

how do you guys deal with guests during parties such as children who want to seriously play with your figures

All of my figures are in my room safely inside of cabinets, it is a total non issue for me.

NOBODY TOUCHES NOTHING!! I'm particular about my figures. No one touches them but me.

Re: Exposing Your Figures to "Guests"

I have certain rules:

- anything in glass display are untouchable
- rough play is okay with custom tfs, custom cobra vehicles, huge robots
- no bite marks
- find all parts and put them back in place
- i choose which side or faction the kids play
- i play along with them

I bribe the kids by promising and giving them one misb toy or candy bar if the above has been observed till the end.

never had any scratch or missing parts.

Re: Exposing Your Figures to "Guests"

I have my Figures in my room also in the basement on the top shelf so it is really out of their reach. But if I was not around, the oldest child of the group would remind the younger ones to not to go in the room, because they would like to be responsable

another option is if they do see your collection give them the crappy figures with no extra parts and tell them thats all your going to get.

but if it was a party for adults...well then. give them the easiest figure you can transform under a second, it will probaly take them 5 minutes.

If I were to have adults over with kids I'd make sure to have a few simpler TF toys for them to play with (Fast action battlers, RPM's, Bumper Battlers etc).

Nope my collection is in my computer/hobby/gaming/electronics repair room (yes it is a full as it sounds). When I get a house I plan on having them in a collections room.

Re: Exposing Your Figures to "Guests"

I have a room in the basement that is locked most of the the time. My 9 year old son and 7 year old daughter are allowed in anytime and they make sure that their Friends are not touching anything...

When I show off my stuff to friends they are typically very respectfully and don't really touch anything, but I did have a friend that likes to put the some toys in...comprimising positions and see how long it took me to notice. Poor Han Solo was never the same after.

If you think that was bad ask Otis about the pics regarding Megamoulds HA Jazz from the bbq...

My friends do the same to my figs, which are usually on shelves in my room. I am currently short about 2 book shelves so very few are going up at thsi point.
