I was thinking of getting a case but I don't know where. Like you, I only want some of them.

Yeah, getting a case is probably cheaper in the long run than taking your chances with true blind bags. That's probably what I'll do when this wave comes along. Mind you I hope we still see the elusive 4th wave after they stop pushing the AOE stuff.

I was thinking we could maybe do some type of local swap/trade? I only want 8 out of the 12 from this wave, and it's going to be hard to track down the 8 I want without getting a bunch that I won't want... plus the chances of getting doubles.

You know what would probably be easiest if anyone gets a case IMHO? Open them all and put together a bunch of sets and then sell them off to boardies at cost plus maybe a little extra for effort.

Good idea! Slightly pricy initial investment, but would be okay of enough are interested.

Yeah, taking a look at the lineup I'll be jumping on the "buy a case" bandwagon too. There's a few I don't care about but also a few that I don't want to live without.

Yeah, see I don't really want to buy a case since there are 4 that I have no interest in buying. If someone's willing to pull the 8 that I'm looking for, I'd totally pay full price plus a little extra for the effort.

The other idea I had (which may not be as good an idea for people looking for the full set) was that everyone could buy the amount they want and then trade with other boardies so that they get the ones they're after. For example I'd buy 8 and if 4 were the ones I wanted, I'd keep those and trade the other 4 to other boardies that need the ones I have and have the ones I want.

Only problem is there are bound to be ones no one wants, except for completists. Dammit, Hasbro, why do you have to go and ruin a good thing...

Yeah, I don't understand it. I mean has there been a problem of people just cherry picking certain figures and leaving behind a huge overstock of unwanted Kreons?

Around here, there aren't too many left overs. Most get snatched up.

Besides, it just ends up being a similar situation as the lego minfigs. You end up with a bunch of grown adults standing around feeling up the blindbags trying to figure out what's inside.

I'm sure that's exactly what TRU and other retailers want, in my case, a big fat ass groping the blind bags, while mumbling transformer names, and scaring away all the kids.
