Generations Jazz would be the one from a couple years ago right? I have some pics here with Knockout, tge jazz retool, which is the same height. I usually compare with classics Optimus for height since that's the toy that defined scale on CHUG collections. And Tarn happens to be about the same height as that Optimus, making him standard voyager height. I agree with other comments that he does feel flat, but I don't see it as much if a flaw. The character design was always with the kibble at his side rather than the back , making him look beefy while walking towards his victims. The amount of paint on the figure surprised me, it has more varied paint apps on the most amount of surface area I have seen in quite a while.

Sorry dude but that is straight out wrong. I'm with RNSRobot, SS86 Hot Rod was a damn great figure. I'm not going to analyze all that about weight, grams and the other stuff you said but it's a great figure but you are entitled to your opinion I guess although I suspect you would very much be in the minority on that.

I didn't know weight/grams was a thing to go by. Wouldnt all MP figures be ridiculously overpriced compared to rescue bots figures in terms of price per gram ratio?

Re: holy crap transformers are expensive!

Reveal The Shield Jazz or the Sunstreaker/Sideswipe/Red Alert mold were the ones that came to mind for me.

As I mentioned previous, Tarn's box was deceptive to me. Of the new Transformers I've seen(which isn't as many as most probably) the legs don't utilize the full length of the packaging.

So when I looked at Tarn, without an actually seeing the legs my brain assumed they would not be as long as they actually are.

Add in my Studio Series Jazz, which I really like but is definitely on the small side compared to the older CHUG bots I had in mind.

Add in RtS Jazz is just shy of 6 inches tall. Hotspot is 7.4 inches. Makes me think Tarn is likely closer to 7 inches as well just from the pic on the previous page.

The most interesting part of all these pics to me is the idea of the price comparrison. Like if you put these pics in front of a muggle and asked " Which is the $15 figure, which is the $30 figure. Which is the $35 figure and which is the $50 figure......I bet the answers would be interesting.

Re: holy crap transformers are expensive!

Transformers have gotten so expensive that I've turned to the toy i thought was overpriced, Lego. I have more fun with a speed champions set than a G1-styled deluxe.

I only have 5 transformers on my list for this year.
2022 was 16.
2021 was 28.

Re: holy crap transformers are expensive!

I actually like SS86 Rodimus much more than the POTP version, it has all the parts and accessories from the movie, it has a very complex transformation that makes both modes very screen-accurate.

I get it, the price stings a bit, but if all I care about if weight and grams for a TF, I might as well paint a Transformers character colored rock and call myself a genius for saving so much money.

Behold, I present to you the best value transformer:

Ugh - trauma from oversized out of scale characters like that awful Supreme Cheetor!

Starscream at least was a decent toy in its own right in isolation.

If you want my opinions:

Leaving out Wreck-Gar was definitely not fair by me. He's huge, meaty, definitely a good one at Cyclonus level.

I also love Jhiaxus and Dinobot and they feel somewhat close to what my tactile memory would say is a "voyager". They are awesome toys, but that's a different issue.

Inferno I haven't played with enough to really give a solid opinion.
Cyclonus IS fucking fantastic. =)
