Re: Do you think this is worth $225,000.00????
Wow that is a really big collection. Too big. The price is way out of reach. To collect an inventory of guys that large would only be for a business. I collect most things in 3s. One for me. One for my kid when that happens and the other is for the vault for MISB. To have 28 of one item is crazy. Who would spend quarter of a million dollars to start a business with so many of each? Moving the product has no gaurantee. What I don't understand is this. How come he didn't leave duplicates stored in case fresh condition. This guy is nuts. If I was him I would down size and make numerous collections for sale. At least he stands a chance.

Only G1s I saw, from the 40pics I looked at were all Reissues, TFC and TRU Commemorative, 2 encore, nothing original. Except maybe an Ultra Magnus/OP, dunno if they are reissue. Too many pics to look over.

Part of the fun of collecting is in the collecting itself. If you buy a "ready-made" Collection such as this... where is the thrill of the hunt?

Re: Do you think this is worth $225,000.00????
I say still a pretty impressive collection, would you be able to sell half of it if you bought it? Maybe or maybe not, can anyone here really price this out? I did look at all 254 photos and man I was tired by the end of it, it's like a TF/anime/Gundam Toys R Us store.
I imagine someone like this has recorded his cost of purchasing these figures including shipping possibly (if he hasn't then he truly is crazy) and hasn't just thrown a completely random number out there, let's say at this point he's trying to double his money which I think would make it $112 500 for his collection plus however long he's rented an apartment for them which I'm sure he may be trying to recoup as well which after that (let's say 5 years @ a cost of $9000/year + insurance) maybe he makes $50 000 to $60 000 on the deal if he gets one. I record my costs and my collection is maybe a 100th of that one if that and and if I paid for all of my collection (some were gifts) which is about 80 figures currently I'd be over $1000 on spending easy maybe $1500 is a better estimate which makes my cost $18.75 a figure which I think is about right considering the mix of 3rd party, deluxes, voyagers and Titaniums. So is his price crazy? Maybe not, only the large number. Is he crazy hell ya, who rents an apartment for TF's?
Hmmm buy a house or a Transformer collection? I'll take the Transformer collection, if he throws in the apartment! I need somewhere to live after buying that.

This guy again huh? Looks like he robbed a friggin walmart warehouse
No big money stuff in there. I'd hazard a guess at maybe 10 gs if he parted it out. Most of the stuff is worth a fraction what he paid now
Although I'm no expert on freaky nudie anime figures, maybe those are worth more
