Hasbro already doing this with Star Wars figures. Simpler lower priced line and a larger, more detailed, 3x as expensive figures

Corrected. Kids, and adults, are all about instant gratification these days. Just look at video games. In the past few Mario titles, if you died more than a couple of times in a level they give you an item that makes you invincible. Nevermind getting good at a game or trying again and again until you beat it. Forget that! That's too much like hard work.

Personally, as long as Hasbro's campaign to simplify their main line toys to the point that a quadriplegic could successfully transform them doesn't affect Generations, I don't care what they do as I will not be purchasing any movie crap. Just give me more like Rhinox, Waspinator, and Rattrap. The rest is just white noise.

I like this move. Complex tranformation does not equate to a better and more playable toy IMO.

Have you ever seen kids faces when they are playing transformers and they decide to transform their toys in the moment?

...kids struggling with stupid ball joints and over articulated designed for 5 minutes..."Daddy, can you help me transform Bumblebee?"..."sure let me see it"...sad face...now I'm getting frustrated...5 minutes later..."here...where'd you go?"...kids playing with my G1s.

These toys are made for kids after all. Stick with MPs if you want complex.

i don't find a lot of these toys to be complex. they also come with instruction manuals if you need help. another thing, we live in the age of computers! there are enough toy reviewers on youtube to help us transform practically every transformers toy out there. there is no reason to do this except for them to save money and give us more shitty toys. on another note, they must be colour blind to call that figure an optimus

Wont be long until a billion simplified Bee's are occupying the shelves. Than the next wave of repainted bee's will arrive after that one.

Re: Simplified Transformers Toys Confirmed for TF4 Age of Extinction

Personally, I don't have children nor hang around children to have any experience with them. But there is something wrong with them these days compared to when I was growing up. It's proven by this move by Hasbro. I only transform mine once and then leave them be. And I only find it difficult when a piece that should move doesn't move.

And I would stick to MP if they had all the characters I am looking for. I do not buy for every line, I buy all my favourites. Though with the movie toys, I might keep this line in vehicle mode. They figures I've seen so far look like cheap knockoffs I can find at Dollarama. I find it amusing that Mattel is coming out with more detailed, quality, risky items with thier MH and EAH lines and yet Hasbro is playing it safe then going safer. They don't want to come out of their comfort zone and instead backtrack in figure quality. If they think that is why the dark of the moon figures didn't sell, someone needs to re-think their job.
