Also... does anyone have an extra G1 Rippersnapper head?

Thanks in advance,

I had this happen as well...I think Rippersnapper has something similar to gold plastic syndrome...more like "blue plastic syndrome" but either way they are likely to fail over time.

One idea is to get a KO just for the head, perhaps it will last longer....

Re: Repair Thread

I think I just have bad luck with TR and PotP figures where stickers are concerned. Several of my figures have crumpled stickers right out the box and it really bugs me because the creases on the foil stickers are just highlighted more when light shines on them, and of course, the effect is pretty darn ugly. Is there any way to make the creases on the stickers not so obvious? Alternatively, I wouldn't mind getting replacement stickers exactly like the pre-applied ones on the toys and reapplying them myself, but I highly doubt Reprolabels or any similar business has made such stickers to begin with (and it doesn't even seem like any sort of wide demand exists for them). I know replacement sticker sheets for G1 figures exist, but nothing comparable appears to be around for TR and PotP figures.

Re: Repair Thread

Got a copy of Transarts Strange Friend recently, caused me to dig out my old 10th anniversary BAF Transmutate

Remembered that my wife had broken the neck joint a long time ago - the sliding "neck base" ball joint snapped off while installed in the neck piece

Thinking of maybe repairing it (still have the pieces after all), anyone have any experience with this figure in particular?

Since it's broken right at a sliding ball joint, I'm worried any glue in there will gum up the sliding mechanism and then can't do neck articulation

Pic below is not mine, just using it to illustrate the broken piece

The ball joint is still inside the neck/head piece, complete with the little "plate" that straddles the vertical neck slot - the break is right where it would pass through the opening to inside

Re: Repair Thread

I have fixed things like this in past by drilling into both halves and cutting a small piece of brass stock or tube then glueing one end in the broken base waiting till cured making sure that slide still functions then glueing opposing half on....sparse use of a good plastic glue and carful matching up of broken pieces has worked in past for me....

Has anyone seen this before? It's Cyclonus from the Armada of Cyclonus Platinum set. His left leg won't close correctly due to it having a right (but not correct ) knee joint. He's also missing his landing gear. I'm going to see if Walmart will take it back, but I wonder if this is really common with this mold/set? Can it be repaired?
Should I bother re-ordering? I already have a CW Cyclonus & TR Scourge, so I got this set for the Armada/Sweeps.

Re: Repair Thread

Anyone here got any experience with counteracting yellowing?

Don't know if there's a baking soda/boiling water technique or anything

Re: Repair Thread

I recall some discussions in the past with Hydrogen Peroxide, I thin TFW2005 had a thread about it.

theoneyouknowleast is correct

There may be more discussions on this, but here's one I found:

https://www.tfw2005.com/boards/threa...tested.234026/

Haven't done this myself though, so I'm not 100% sure of the results.

Re: Repair Thread

There's also a thread here on Cybertron.ca:

http://www.cybertron.ca/boards/showthread.php?t=15647

Staves is this for a vintage figure or one of the newer ones with yellowing?

Re: Repair Thread

Has anyone had any luck with re-attaching the Crane Arm on G1 Construction Hook?

I have tried everything to pop it back in but I am thinking it will strip of the numbs that are to keep it in place
