No, most preorders were not fulfilled, and stock was given to people who ordered this month. there_is_a_martens posted above that they ordered theirs on January 8th, and received it.So unless they are lying (possible, but why would you?) then preorder people got screwed.

I was a November pre-order. Sounds like they have this whole thing figured out finally....

I haven’t received it yet, but it has shipped. Can’t explain why mine would have been filled before a November pre-order though.

Feel free to complain to them, though they aren’t gonna be able to ship what they don’t have. If other reports are true they should be sending them out this week now that they got stock in.

Maybe Amazon is only fulfilling “newer” orders made in December when the release date was bumped up to January. Buyers only pre-ordered then because the estimated delivery date was soon. When you pre-ordered, you were okay with the later August delivery date, so Amazon is not rushed to close your “older” order.
