The Tick!
There's so few non-transformer toys in my collection that I could count them on one hand. One being The Tick and another being his trusty sidekick Arthur. Any other fans out there? Back in the day Tick was one of my favorites and to this day I still find myself yelling out "SPOON!" evey now and then.
Only reason I bring this up at this point was that I was in Walmart the other day and they had Season one and two on DVD. We're talking the cartoon too, not the live action show that was on tv very briefly several years back. Is the Tick making a comeback? I for one would love to see some new Tick cartoons.

Re: The Tick!
I was and still am a huge fan of The Tick, during it's initial Fox run way back when I was hooked. Later on I found Tick comic books in stores and learned about his true history and origins from the "New England Comic" days, which have more of a edge then the cartoons. As for toys..... oh yeah I got a lot in storage.
By the by, the comic still runs to this day.

Re: The Tick!
Avoid the first season DVD. The video transfer is horrible and it's missing an episode.
A shitty, shitty set. Get the Venture Brothers dvds instead. Same people.

Re: The Tick!
I did hear bad things about the DVD boxset and it's odd transfer. I actually have a pretty good bootleg of all the episodes I got from a comic convention here in Montreal, no special looking menu or extras but atleast I have all the episodes.

Re: The Tick!
To say I looooove The Tick would be an understatement. I read the comics in junior high & high school, so when the cartoon came on in the 90's, I could not have been more pleased. It was a near perfect transition and the voices were all pretty much exactly how I imagined they would be. And so many classic episodes came from the series - too many to count.
I bought Season 1 on DVD last year, and wholeheartedly disagree that it sucks. It might not be a perfect transfer, but it more than does the trick. Just as good if not better than most other 80's/90's cartoons transferred to DVD. And yeah it's missing one episode - the one about the Mole Men - but it's not a huge loss since it was by far the weakest episode of S1 anyway. Just bought Season 2 earlier this month but haven't had a chance to crack it open and watch it yet.
Fun fact: the guy who voiced The Tick is now doing the voice of Ultra Magnus in TF:Animated.
