G1 Transformer scout and deluxe classes

Did they even have such different classes back then? I got the G1 Hot Rod, and his robot mode is taller than Cyberverse robot mode, and I believe the Cyberverse is a Deluxe class one. The ones that were really small were called minis as opposed to being called legends class today. Hound was the smallest that I remember of the larger ones. I compared the G1 Hot Rod to Impactor, and he's shorter, and he's about the same size as a Deluxe class Optimus Prime I have.

Re: G1 Transformer scout and deluxe classes

no, they just bought up license rights to whatever transforming toy coming out of Japan and slapped the transformers label on it. Toy size classes came after G1 toys as a result of all these mixed up sizes.

Re: G1 Transformer scout and deluxe classes

I also remember Bumblebee (or some other small bot) refer to them self as being a scout. I also remember another Transformer being called a "noble voyager" who is also voyager size. My guess is that they got those names from those cartoon moments, just a guess.

They're still cool Transformers to collect. I love my Hot Rod.
