Hasbro Pulse Duties

I was checking out how the shipping works on Hasbro Pulse in preparation for the Quintesson set. So I added a Starscream to my cart as a test and after going through all of it I had to pay shipping and taxes, which was fine. I assume the taxes we are paying cover the customs/duties fees? Correct me if I'm wrong but I want to make sure. If you've ordered from Hasbro Pulse before please inform me, thanks.

They collect taxes for the Canadian government when you pay so there are no duties. If you do get hit, contact them as something went wrong on their end.

The FedEx shipping starts high at around 30 USD and only moves a bit as you add more items. I placed a big preorder that will ship item by item as they arrive in-stock so it makes the shipping cost a bit easier to handle.

From what they told me, you pay for the flat rate combined shipping, then the duties and taxes are added on as well..with is actually PST and GST...why they are asking for PST I dont understand, but the courier they use does that.

If you have multiple items shipped and different times, they apparently charge you a portion of the entire order's shipping costs and a portion of the tax/duties, but they dont give you a breakdown of it and its very hard for them to give that info of the portions charged.

I made a larger order a few months ago, and when it is all in I will check to make sure the 29.99 shipping and tax total is all that is charged. You can easily cancel items from the order, but they were unable to update me on the final amount of tax that would be charged with some items being removed from the initial total...its a mathematics mess and they provide little info...I think it comes to, or should be, flat shipping, usually 25.99 or 29.99, plus 15% tax and duties for cost of items.

Ordered stuffs from them from time to time. No extra cost at delivery. Shipping is flat rate $20-something US FedEx and the HST for the item(s).

got charged for the Centurion drone pack yesterday. 60$ CAD total, for what was initially a 20$ US purchase.

It stings, but considering the pack bumped up in price to 30$ US a few hours after it was revealed, I'm okay with it.

Hasbro Pulse charged you 60CAD? So that is 20 for the item plus 24.99 shipping plus taxes and fees to your door?

Conversion rate probably. $45 usd sounds about right.
