Re: Hasbro Masterpiece Bumblebee spotted in Canada!

Well actually, in Japan the TTM exclusive MP-11T/NR/NT are priced relatively the same as MP-11. Japanese etailers sold MP-11 for some 20% off (before 8% Japanese sales tax) so we got spoiled there. But TTM only ships 2000 pieces to Japanese domestic address so importers who got their hands on them are selling for much more. It also doesnt help that Takara made MP-11SW as Hasbro Asia exclusive so Hasbro already takes a huge dip there before selling to toy dealers.

Oh go on... Everyone knows collectors will eat this up. Why are we pretending like it's a scam? It's how it's always been. If that's a rip off all of Transformers is a rip off.

99.99 and had it price adjusted 2 weeks later for 69.99

Speaking as someone who was eagerly awaiting this release, I can confirm that I will not be eating this up. I can see some collectors, namely those who don't frequent forums and may be less engaged with the collecting community, going for this, but the overall reaction on the forum has been negative. Only like two guys here have mentioned getting one (and I'm not hating on them for it), they're a minority.

You say collectors will eat this up... but we're all collectors here, and going by the last ten pages, we just aren't.

If they release him in any type of quantity then he'll definitely shelfwarm. If they only send 3-5 per store then they may move.

Locally, it seems that not many sold and the ones that have are on craigslist for $200 where they will remain fot all of etetnity

Hasbro MP Starscream was released too long ago but if Bee and Screamer were released closer together I'd swear that somebody at Hasbro botched the pricing and got them swapped between the two.

It feels completely random how Hasbro MPs have been priced in the last couple of years. You'd think they would at least have tiers based on size class, but that's not the case: MP Bluestreak and MP Starscream were both released at $89.99 which is nonsensical, and MP Bumblebee + Spike is 33% more expensive than both of them. They're just slapping increasingly outrageous prices on everything.

I've seen them disappear from stores, but I have a feeling the people wanting to sell them for over $200 on Craig's List have bought them all up. I have not clue who would pay that for these figures let alone why someone would think that buying out the stock at a store and trying to up charge them on Craig's list would work for this...
