Re: Parents: do you care what other kids think about your child?
My almost 2 year old nephew was wearing his bigger sisters pink sunglasses. Doesn't make him gay. He found them under the couch and wanted to wear them. Little kids don't distinguish between socially acceptable vs not socially acceptable. Fact is, kids are kids and they don't give a f%$# so long as they are having fun. Now if he still wants a purse and pink sunglasses at 17...chances are he's gay, not a big deal. But with little kids, I don't see why some parents get so concerned. My sister-in-law didn't care that he had pink sunglasses cause to him...just sunglasses.
Fact is, when the adults are all concerned about their kids having "not socially accepted" toys in hand, it's usually the parents issue, not the kids.
