Thumbs up Fansproject 2nd Run for Glacialbots

I cant post anything in the news & Rumors forum... and this may not be the biggest news and we pretty much all expect it, but I wrote Fansproject about the Out of stock Glacialbots, asking if they plan on releasing a "single box that includes them all" or a repaint version, here's they're reply:

Hi,

Thank you for the interest in the Glacialbots! Yes unfortunately they are currently out of stock due to popular demand. The best thing I can recommend for releases like this is try to make your pre-orders as soon as you can before waiting for the full sets to be released. Often enough, we find that other enthusiastic collectors like to grab these as as soon as they can!

Good news is that there are plans for reissue in the future, however, there are currently no specific determined dates just yet.

Thanks,

Good on them. I think as many people as possible should own this set to remember what fun in a toy is.

I'd definitely get in on a second run, I was disappointed I missed out on the first one. So disappointed that I arranged to have the shipping container with the glacialbots in it dropped into the sea.

is there a review for this set? For now I'm not very interested yet, since looks very G1, but there is no real G1 story background.

I hope to get mine soon. Way back at TFCon 2013 I bought the first two. Along time in the waiting and even longer because of the cannister disaster. The whole retro thing works for me.

Re: Fansproject 2nd Run for Glacialbots

Vangelus has the limbs reviewed on TFW and I think Peaugh has a full review up on youtube.

These things are extremely G1, that is the point. Picture ripping a hole into another reality. In this reality the people involved in cancelling G1 after rebirth do not for for Hasbro or Sunbow so the show never gets cancelled.

Season four goes on to introduce many new characters and gimmicks including the first ever American Chest Masters that combine. The fact that there is no story to these guys makes them even more fun because you can work them in any way you like. These guys are extremely fun due to their simple G1 transformations and many many many different play features.

My only hope is that we see more on these Retro Future figures and considering they sold out I think we just might.

I read most of the reviews from Chinese TFs forums, because usually they are the 1st come out with latest reviews. However there is so little information on this set, seems the China market doesn't even care for it.

Re: Fansproject 2nd Run for Glacialbots

There is some speculation that these are somewhat related to G1 Technobots. Check the similarities with colour schemes, designs and being the opposite of technology in that they are pre-history organisms.
