Ever since I moved out, been needing a copy of this. I left my Dreamcast version with my brother (who's keeping the console), the Xbox version is not playable on an Xbox360, my PS3 does not have PS2 backwards compatibility, and my PS2 is an unmodded Japanese version. So my only solution was to get the Gamecube version to play on my Wii.

I just picked this up a short while ago for ps2 after years of looking for another copy.
The 3d graphics used in the backgrounds look really good, but the 2d sprites look really, really bad. Still though, Other than 3rd strike, cvsnk1, and kof2000, I'd say it's the best fighting game of that period

Just to let you guys know...Walmart made a "mistake "in their flyer with the gears of war 3 ad. All versions of the game are not 59.98 like it reads in the flyer. They are 59.98 ,89.98and 149.98... I argued with them on ad pricing but they refused and I couldn't keep arguing cause I would be late for work. Walmart sucks...can't write an ad for shit. Ill wait till its game of the year.

Nice. I've never been much of a KOF guy (love the characters, the story, and the art; but could never play the games properly), and I personally don't think that CvS1 can hold a candle to the sequel, but CvS2 is definitely a good one. I'll admit, I somehow drifted away from fighting games for a few years after SF Alpha 3 (so my exposure to SF3 isn't as much as I'd like), but CvS2 got me way back into fighting games. It's really the multiple Grooves and vast selection of characters that gives this game A LOT of variety.
