Re: ShelfLife Beta Test Announcement: Very Exciting Stuff

Every time I try to go to the second page of any catalogue it crashes my internet explorer.
Page one, fine! Page 2, 3, 4, whatever, crash!

We did say that we hate Internet Exploder... Just kidding.

I'm looking into this now. If you can tell me a couple of quick things, it should speed up fixing this:
  1. Does this happen in Buy mode, Collect mode, or both?
  2. Which version of Windows are you using?
  3. Which version of Internet Explorer are you using?

In the meantime, the site works great in Firefox and Chrome .

Which version? IE 6? 7? 8? 9? 64-bit?

When I get home I'll try to reproduce it with my IE, running on Win7 x64.

  1. It happens in Buy mode. The new page automatically swtiches to the list view and then stops working.
  2. Windows XP professional.
  3. Internet Explorer 8.

I see what you mean! Thanks for the details. I'm working on a fix.

As I mentioned in a previous post, you can use Firefox or Chrome in the meantime.

Re: ShelfLife Beta Test Announcement: Very Exciting Stuff

On the TFClub page, I can see the Items List Header and Footer (the bits with the Filter and Sorting Options) as well as what I'm assuming is a logo picture slot left blank, with no other content actually showing up. Not sure if it was an under-construction page that was accidentally greenlighted, or if it's a finished page that's been emptied of its content due to a site error (it's my first time visiting that page).

If it's to do with a site error, then I'm using Firefox 9.0.1.

If a catalog hasn't been built yet, we show a "Become A Curator" message. Eg:
http://shelflifex.com/catalogs/trans...tfclub-toys-ex

However, the logic to do that wasn't being applied to categories that contain no products. So, I've fixed that!

Thanks for piping up, mate. We love it.

Hey Nick, have you had a chance to review the Joe 25th Ann. catalog? I've still got to add in a few variants and such.

Also when I HAVE/WANT an item the picture disappears and just the name of the item is left with the HAVE/WANT tag until I refresh, then it comes back.

Thanks for reporting this, Shockwave 75. I'm working on a fix. It's going to take a few days because of the back-log of other features I'm working on.

Can you use Firefox or Chrome until these are fixed?
