Dec 10th Bonus Item – TR Doomshot & Megatron

I know it’s supposed to be Blitzwing and I’m not sure I’ll get this in Blitzwing or keep the Generations one but it’s Megatron and I can’t help myself. I knew the day I saw the first review I had to have this. Now I doubt very highly I’ll keep the chest stickers and replace the Decepticon insignia with something larger. He’s not a gun, he’s a plane, a tank but he’s Megatron. What more could I say? Am as I happy about him as I should be? Yes and no and this just applies to my copy, your mileage may vary. Hasbro seems to be developing their toys to be able to do the splits at a moment’s notice. The hip attachments seem to have a lot less friction than I would expect. The left arm for the fusion cannon is a bit loose so he can’t hold his arm up at all on the shoulder joint once the cannon is attached. Beyond that I like it. Gives Megs a new look and price matching obviously takes the sting out of it but I wished I could have found him before Thursday so I could have gotten the 40% off instead of the 25% but hey it beats full price.

that's totally cool, thanks for the bonus today, but now ya got me all in on this megaton, I was sold on him before but now I'm in "hunt mode"...really cool thanks

I'm going to have to agree with you, but... I missed out on the CW Megaton, I know I can still pick it up but not without inflation. so, this to me would be the next best thing, plus I genuinely like the Triple changer aspect of this meg.

but If I can get my hands on the CW meg at retail he also will be coming home with me.

TR Megatron's robot mode looks way more Megatrony than CW.
in fact, he's the most Megatron looking toy since G1.

Sure, I'll remove his plane mode when I get him.

And wervenom, can his plane mode be altered to a gun mode?

Dec 11th – CW Scatter…WTF?

So as he debuted recently on the boards by Chansformers, this is a take on Devcon the bounty hunter. The Scattershot was a complimentary gift from Hasbro for an issue I had taken up with them regarding Victorion. In hindsight TR Scourge would have made a much better Devcon with a Sleezardo head but hey, the figure was free so why not have a pro give him the once over and add an obscure one off character to the ranks

Dec 12th – FP LER-04 Severo TF Con Exclusive

Why did I get this over the other versions? One if I’ve gone TF Con with 3 might as well finish it off. 2 I have no use for a throne for Grimlock. He may be king but I’m sure he’d rather kick butt. First off I like the aesthetic of him but think it’s too wide on the thighs I guess I wish they could compress a little more under the body. Mouth can’t close all the way which is fine in Dino mode but it sticks out a bit further on the back in Bot mode. The Gatling guns are a nice touch but again not really for me. Have no idea what I to do with them but another bot down the road will inherit them. Really do love the blue on this guy though. Grimlock’s hips, gun and sword are always the standard red but I think the blue really looks sharp. Funny enough I know I had Dinobots in last year’s countdown and was missing 1, Neptune, I believe and now find myself in the same boat having to wait for their Snarl to be released and will again, have to go with an exclusive that I hope shows up at TF Con.

^^ I also recently opened this guy up (on Saturday)...great summary of the figure, I agree.

I must admit outside of the mouth issues and wide hips, I was very pleasantly surprised by him, especially the transformation which was fun and yet straightforward!
