Automaton Toys: TF Prime canceled!

Hi,

Following a huge wave of preorder cancelations from many customers, and considering the fact that this line in now available at TRU across Canada, we have decided to not stock the Hasbro TF Prime line, whether it is the actual wave or any upcoming wave.

Furthermore, we are also considering to not stock ANY Hasbro TF product from now on since it became obvious that it takes a magic crystal ball to manage orders with them.

We were told in the first place by our supplier that the TF Prime First Edition would not hit mass retail before January, wich prove to be totally false now.

Rather to support tons of figures that will be obvious shelfwarmers, we have taken the business decision to simply cancel the line.

We will send emails to the few customers who still have preorders up for those products to confirm the news.

I will come up with an official Newsletter later today with more pleasant news, including the arrival this week of Takara Encore #20 Devastator, MP Black Rodimus and TFC Structor.

In many ways, we share your frustration...to me, the model that makes sense is that specialty boutiques like Automaton get new waves first. Then, hard core collectors who want an item first just pay a small premium and can actually get it first. Clearly this isnt the case.

Something is mighty strange at Hasbro distribution: my prediction: later waves will be LATE coming to Canada...

Hasbro lies affect your reputation in business. My Automaton experience has been: great prices, fast service and excellent communication. Why bring in that negative Hasbro aspect? I'm sorry to hear about the Hasbro supply inconsistency.

Nooooooooo! I've passed on Arcee several times at retail to keep my pre-order. Now, I have to hunt for her again (and CJ and Bulkhead). Just watch, now Arcee is gonna be scarce. Crap in a hat!
