Re: AOE viewing during TFCon

I caved. I saw AoE twice this week. I already want to see it again before TFCon. I'll try to resist though. I'm not sure yet what day/time our group is planning on hitting up the Coliseum yet. It all depends on how we feel when we get there.

I should have room for maybe another person in my car. If CC drives we may have more spots available. It's a 10 min drive so worst case we get a little cozy.

Re: AOE viewing during TFCon

Hey BF,

Just letting you know if we are going IMAX there are two variations there is true 70mm (76x97 ft - screen size is more square) and then there is a lower grade variation shown on smaller screens (28x58ft - screen size is more widescreen). So if IMAX is a must then it's best to go to the theatre in Square1 Coliseum as it is true 70mm IMAX, I'm not sure about the Courtney Park theatre, it may be the cheaper variety?

I know as I one experienced the lower grade variation at Colossus theatre in Vaughn, I didn't know it at the time but there was something just not right about the screen and after doing some research it turned out that theatre had the fake IMAX experience but at the full IMAX price

Re: AOE viewing during TFCon

Personally speaking, IMAX or even 3-D is not a must for me. In most cases I'm cool not paying the premium so I have more to spend on junk food, or more aptly on toys this weekend.

The plan is to watch a 9pm or later show to minimize the conflict with the auction.

Actually 2D would be good with me, if 3D then it would have to be true IMAX!

Also, if 2D then I have Costco movie pass for 2 that includes popcorn and 2 drinks!

Also, as Smegs says, let's stay until after the charity auction.

Re: AOE viewing during TFCon

I wanna go D: but I'll have to see what I'm doing on Friday night annnd if I feel like spending like $12 again cause I can just spend that buying the DVD when it comes out .__.

but if the theater is only like 10 minutes down the street why don't you just walk?
