TFA "G1" Starscream
hey gang, Malwave here
just showing off a small side project I finished to add some variety to my customizing schedule.
I had bought am Animated Skywarp thinking he'd be a cool figure...but turns out I didn't really enjoy him. And when I don't enjoy a figure, I REPAINT IT >D
anyways, as said, this is a repaint of Animated Skywarp into Starscream, but with his standard G1-colour scheme.
Don't get me wrong; I love Derrick's approach with Screamer's colour scheme . I just wanted to see how he looked in his retro style.
(P.S. contemplating an auction, but would anyone buy this guy if I put him up? )

Re: TFA "G1" Starscream
Now that's how he should have looked in the cartoon.

Re: TFA "G1" Starscream
Very nice. I would have gone very light gray instead of white, but the white makes him look extremely arrogant. G1 Starscream would most definitely approve.
I'm surprised we didn't see a Legends or Activators Starscream looking something like this.

Re: TFA "G1" Starscream
Very nice job!
When Starscream lost his body but was still alive (as a talking head), when he gain a body, I was really hoping for a G1 colored Starscream... but that didn't happen.
Knowing Hasbro I expected them to release a repaint sooner or later than I heard the end of the line because of ROTF...
And the current TFA Starcream's color not being show accurate doesn't help...
Is Thundercracker even coming here? I don't think we still received Cybertron mode Ratchet and Arcee yet...

well, while the white is a hassle to work with, I think it has a better effect than light gray.
that and I'd have to mix a custom shade for it to work, and I HATE mixing

What's the k for?
You did a really good job here, my only complaint is that the paint is a little uneven around some of the details (cockpit, air Intakes). You may or may not want to touch those up. The white on black also could use another coat in a few areas, the base plastic is still coming through, as you would expect on a dark-to-light figure.
