So this one is bigger and not in scale with Grimlock?

It will come with an add on part for MP08 to make it almost same height as Ft-04."

Do you know if all pieces of Botron War will be released at the same time?

Yeah, but that's Soundwave. Who's a highly engineered and incorporates a lot of small, subtle and well executed gimmicks. Not to mention the Hasbro version cost less AND came with all of his cassette, some of which are arguably more marvelous piece of engineering than Soundwave himself.

It's better to compare it to into intended companion piece, MP Grimlock. Sold for only $70 at US retail! And he was essentially just an upgraded, up-scaled, up-detailed, and up-engineered version of his G1 toy. And yes, so is Soundwave to a degree as well, but I think SW does more than Grimlock. Not to say MP Grimmy is super simple. He does have the eye gimmicks, the head-tail waggling gimmick, the light-piping fist, and a bit more engineering to get the tail into the feet.

Now let's look at Scoria, aka Not-Slag. Does he transform as much like his original as Grimlock did his. Though we haven't seen alt mode picks, I'd say yes. It does look like his tail transforms into his legs, so I'll give them that. But does Not-Slag have the same gimmicks as old Grimmy?
Eye-colour changing: Doesn't appear to have it.
Head-tail wagging: Looks like the triceratops head doesn't move at all.
Light-up fist: Definitely not. But does look like his sword itself may light up.

Not to say Slag should have the same gimmicks as Grimlock. Actually, other the light-up weapons, I think the only other gimmick I'd like to see is light-up fire-breath like the FOC Grimlock toy has.

But even if Slag had all kinds of gimmicks and engineering. I don't think I'd pay $200 for one. Heck, G1 Slag was the FIRST Transformers toy I ever played with that I can recall, but I don't really have that much sentimental attachment to "Me, Slag" to warrant a $200 purchase.

I guess what I'm trying to say is give me an MP Dinobot, not MP Dinobots. Until then, me say this is beryllium baloney.

Re: Fan Toys FT-04 Scoria

But Takara MP Grimlock didn't sell for $70... Development costs aren't free. Plus Hasbro MP Grimlock had most of his accessories missing and had cheaper packaging.

Re: Fan Toys FT-04 Scoria

I'll probably end up getting these guys as well. No sure why people would run to BBTS for pre-orders.. A3U usually has, same with Automaton (as he's already stated) Prices are usually comparable.
