Just saw on Mandarake's main page, they have finally allowed EMS shipping to Canada again (been shut off since COVID)

Pretty sure I got an e-mail from Hobby Link Japan a few weeks ago saying the same thing.

I'd just like to say I agree with everyone who weren't hot to Mandy in the past 3 years or so, cause COVID caused JapanPost to restrict a lot of things - it effectively killed SAL shipping worldwide (my old favourite shipping; it took the longest to arrive, bout a month each time - but was the cheapest!), and forced the only Canada shipping to be DHL

DHL is the literal actual devil's balls, I ordered a single thing using them once and it was a nightmare
They did the thing where it gets to Canadian soil, but then suddenly they want more money inbetween, and they're just holding your sh*t until you pay up

It's one thing if you select them (cause then its on you), but it's another when it's presented as "the only option"

DHL is only good with Amazon Japan, then you know and pay the fee upfront, and it's actually reasonable.

Other than that, avoid the courier companies like the plague (DHL, UPS, FedEx).

Amazing! Yes, Japan Post said EMS, albeit delayed, is now back shipping from Japan to Canada as of Nov 2.

Mandarake is also a great experience in the few orders I have made from them.

The EMS delay to Canada is caused because EMS from Japan to Canada is carried on passenger flights between the two countries...they still are not as active as they were even during the first few months of Covid...but its back with a delay.

Couriers do often suck....Great News!
