Transformers Comics...where do I start?

I'm going to go one further here. I love both the news series, but they are more extensions of G1 - it would be like starting in Season 3 of the G1 cartoon.

I feel like the start point for IDW is still Infiltration, Escalation and onward.

Hearts of Steel and Last Stand of the Wreckers are what got me hooked.

I was buying the hard copies but now just download them onto my ipad. WAY better that way.

Comics being so mass produced and essentially worthless from a collectible standpoint.

Last Stand of the Wreckers is what suckered me in. I bought the hard copy of the book in honor of that fact too. Yeah for Roche, Roberts, and Burcham. (random aside it's Burcham's birthday today: I follow him on dA. )

I never touched anything before last stand of the wreckers, then hearts of steel.

After that it was straight to the two MTMTE and RID, I didn't feel like I was starting something halfway through.
