I'll stick with DVD's until 4k/5k displays and the new HD disk format hit, or Hollywood and CE companies kills the format. Which ever comes first. The 360's controller is also superior, the PS3's is so delicate feeling in my hands. Why they dumped the dual shock design I'll never figure out. The form factor not the rumble, I really hated that.

I have also used the PSN for literally years of online gaming and never had an issue. While there maybe truth in the statement that Xbox is superior in design I certainly have no reason to care. I suppose if I had to pay $60 a year to get the same online access I'd tell everyone that it's a better machine too, if only to make me feel better about it.

And yet I've never paid money for gold. Online multiplayer was never enough. Now with youtube/dailymotion, web browser it's getting there. Also XBL was never hacked. When it comes to online service for consoles, you get what you pay for. And if you want to play Skyrim (or any other Besthesda game) you have a reason. They have serious trouble with just basic functioning on PS3.

Why did you buy three PS3s? Do you seriously need an overpriced media player for every room? Or do you use all three for gaming?

Maybe it is overkill, but it works for my house. I get a device that does everything I want in one neat little package.

I have actually toyed with the idea of getting another one, just for the media capabilities.

another 360 issue.... the third party support is garbage...

at least sony doesn't look out total functionality like xbox does... i know have a datel aftershock/wildfire 2 that im gonna have to reformat just to get to work...

i have not had a problem with third party stuff on sony ever.

If you play a lot of Sony's first party games, then a PS3 is well worth the price. It's just when it is only being used for media streaming that you can find many other cheaper devices for that purpose.
