They still mark the value at full price so you will get a customs hit for sure unless you get lucky. I stopped dealing with them because of this.

TFSource orders for me have never been hit with customs but even the reduced shipping rate is still going to be high on a figure like Fort Max.

Automaton is no HST at $399 plus you get the earliest shipment so it will be in hand well before you get the cheaper priced options from the US. They also only charge the actual shipping cost so you can be confident in not being over charged - Automaton is my choice for this but if you go with a US seller I would be wary of BBTS and stick with TFSource in my opinion and from past experiences.
Hmmm interesting, maybe ill change for automaton. I actually only bought small thing with bbts, never something like the fortmax price.

I just received the Vehicon and Jet Vehicon I had ordered.

SQUEE!

I know, they're similar, but dammit, I want a Transformer Batcar and Batmobile!

A Masterpiece Fort Max? Judging by the size of MP-10 and the other upcoming MPs, That Fort Max would probably end up being smaller that the G1 version :P

My wallet does not want an MP-Fort Max to happen

Better to save it for G1 characters that had show models (Floro Dery style) that didn't match the toys.

Yeah, custom fees from BBTS aren't always a certain thing. I've ordered from them a lot in the past and I'd say I was hit with fees maybe half the time? Probably less. Might have to do with the amount declared or something.

...This damn custom fees system is so random and unexplained to customers. I hate that more than paying the fees themselves I think.

It's a roll of the dice.

Re: The Montreal/Quebec Local Fans Banter Thread

The only times I ever got to pay custom fee for stuff from Japan is when I went with express shipping. Now I always get it shipped SAL and just be patient.

Now that I only ship at the cheapest price range I just never get hit with custom fees.

Re: The Montreal/Quebec Local Fans Banter Thread

So yeah, if anyone's plotting an expedition to Ontario, let's discuss it here. Apparently even discussing the availability and procuring of MP releases in Quebec is somehow forbidden elsewhere... but that's why we made this thread happen, right?

Also... thread narcs who tattle for every little thing are super-pathetic losers who deserve nothing but our collective scorn for their antisocial and anti-community spirit. They're probably all scalpers, and nobody likes them anyway. That is all.
