Re: Repair Thread

Yesterday I managed to luckily stumble upon a Beast Machines air attack optimus primal in value village, and besides a few scratches he was in tip top shape. At the store and a few hours after taking him home his lights and sounds were working perfectly... but after setting him aside and picking him up again his sounds suddenly stopped working.

I think that there is a broken speaker wire since all the lights still work even in the jetpack(where the speaker is), so my question is has this occured to anybody? and how do you take him apart?

Thanks for the help

Re: Repair Thread

Unfortunately I can't help you, I have never taken one apart, but I'm sure it is possible. Most transformers can be taken apart, some more or less than others.

I can only give general tips, look for screws and pins. Looking at a picture it seems like he has a few scres on the chest in beast mode, at least 2 that is...that would be my starting point, and any other screws you can find. Then try prying gently, see if there are any other pieces that might be holding him together that you have to remove...

Re: Repair Thread

I know this sounds weird but...what I'd do is either seal the crack with modelling putty or some kind of adhesive...either super glue or contact cement

Re: Repair Thread

i'm not 100% sure.... but taking part of Malwave's idea, what if you were to fill the socket with plasticine and then seal the gap from the outside with super glue or epoxy... then remove the plasticine and any small stuck pieces. The reason why i am suggesting Plasticine (or sculpy) is so the adhesive doesn't leak into the ball joint creating a rough tight fit.

Re: Repair Thread

I have an issue with ROTF Bludgeon. I've had him for about a month, and always found the central column slid that connects his head to his pelvis very stiff to slid. I just tried to transform him from robot to tank and ended up ripping his legs off (the legs are fine they just popped out of the thigh). How do I allow the central column to slide easier?

Thank you.

yeah I noticed that issue too...XD why I leave him in robot mode.

I'd assume one way is to disassemble Bludgeon and dremel a fraction of material off each slider for the head...might make the transformation process easier

Re: Repair Thread

Speaking of Bludgeon, I have a query. My bludgeon is all fine and dandy, until I get to the legs. It's left leg is firmly connected to the thigh, but the right leg's peg comes out everytime I bend the knee. Any advice on how to remedy this problem?

Re: Repair Thread

Same way you'd tighten anything, clear nail polish/superglue.
