As long as it shows in their system as an active item when the sale is on you can request a raincheque. I found out about it a few years ago when MP Thundercracker came out. I was getting a raincheque for some other items at the time and the lady asked if I was talking about MP Thundercracker and showed me the screen. At the time I told her just add it to the paper and I ended up getting him for around $42 plus tax IIRC.

Also anyone in the Milton area (and I have to confirm this) I was told from a friend who lives out that way that where he got his raincheque that the DM in the area cancelled all raincheques with Starscream on them. Later today I'm going to find out for sure what district that is supposed to cover.

They can't do that. If they try, just throw a stink and you'll get the discount.

How does TRU cancel a raincheck. I've used a raincheck before and all the cashier did was use a pen to cross out what I bought on the raincheck paper.

Well, TRU just called me. Since my credit card had been replaced (due to an unrelated fraud), there's nothing they can do to move the payment onto the new card. She even got the nerve to say that I have the choice to cancel the order and reorder it even though she had just told me she couldn't reorder it. How is that a choice if it's not doable?

Really mad at TRU now, yet I still probably have to buy from them. Such is life. Urrrrrrg...

They do it internally in the system. Now I did get confirmation but seeing as it is coming from a friend of a person who works there take it with a grain of salt, it's not Milton but the north end of Mississauga where they have allegedly posted sign stating that they will not honour the rain cheques or are instituting a new policy on not giving rain cheques on "unreleased" items. It may only be that store as again I'm trying to get definitive proof from my source but I just want everyone to be as prepared as possible in case something happens for all those who did get rain cheques

I was just at the TRU at Victoria Park and Lawrence and unless I'm blind, they had no MP Starscreams out. I didn't even see an empty spot on the shelf for them....but I did see plenty of YOTH Starscreams in the gaming section.

Called TRU locations in on Hurontario, Argentia, Dufferin Mall, Yonge/Egg, Brampton, Sherway, none had any in stock, nor were any even aware of a Masterpiece Starscream.

My local TRU refused to give me a raincheck for MP SS back when the 30% sale was on, because the flyer said the sale price was "subject to availability" or something like that, and this was an unreleased product at the time.
