A better question would be, who's going to play the Joker, Two-Face, Penguin, Catwoman, Riddler, Scarecrow, Ra's Al Ghul, Poison Ivy, Mr Freeze, etc, etc, etc?
As long as he's not going "hiya!" and "huchia!" when he's fighting, Jason David Frank would make a fine Batman.

Perfectly fine with Affleck. And the nerd rage is hilarious.

While the role of Batman might not need to be the GREATEST actor, he still needs a certain amount of screen presence. Not like you could just toss Tommy Wiseau in a bat-suit and call it a day simply because teh villlains are da AWESUMZ!

Re: Ben Affleck is the next Batman?!?!!!
I don't mind or I don't know Affleck a whole lot to be bothered by him doing Batman. But people complaining about a actor playing a character is nothing new: It happened with Heath Ledger as the Joker, Anne Hathaway as Catwoman, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Chris Evans as Captain America, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, etc. Also, It will not stop people from going to watch the movie.

I think the issue is most nerds aspire/wish to be super heroes...so if its not them playing the role, they rage....nerd rage.

Don't forget Megan Fox, playing April O'Neal! That, in my opinion, was one of the more salient.

Re: Ben Affleck is the next Batman?!?!!!
I have no hate for Affleck. I think he's a decent actor. He just does not suit the part. Especially with so many others out there.
I did not care for Bale as Batman either. Hate the Bale Batsuit too.
I was actually hoping they would use a relatively unknown actor like they did with Cavill. Did they think he was so weak in the Superman part that they had to throw in a big name?
Anyway, I hope Affleck sits down and plays Arkham Asylum/City/Origins for inspiration and how to play the role right.

But Daniel Craig was already James Bond in Layer Cake.
