[Wrong Parts] Transformers: Legacy Generations Selects Titan Black Zarak

So I bit the bullet and purchased Transformers: Legacy Generations Selects Titan Black Zarak in-store at my local Gamestop (Trafalgar & Dundas) .

When I began assembling to figure, I noticed the spear contained two double-sided male parts for its shaft, which prevented me from correctly connecting it (see pic). I've triple-checked my packaging and plan to contact the store in the morning.

Has anyone else experienced the same issue with this figure?

That is very unfortunate.
I'm not sure Gamestop will be able to do much about it, but it can't hurt to ask. I would definitely also contact Hasbro customer service. They may not have the ideal solution, but just in case they could send you replacement parts even though that's not usually what they offer.

You can try to email Hasbro directly, they might be able to mail you replacement parts (whenever they get their units of BZ)

You were able to buy this with or without a pre-order?

[Update]
This morning, I called Gamestop to plead my case, and they graciously heard me out. They found a replacement at another establishment and have ordered its shipment to them. They have deemed it a "manufacturer defect." and will do a straight exchange. I will open my box in-store to make sure everything's in there.

So ends my little drama. I'm happy with the results, appreciative of the staff at Gamestop, and thankful to share my story with you all.

Yes. Some stores have some available. It's hit or miss though and the website isn't true to what's out there.

I just opened mine and the right parts were there. Glad you were able to have it exchanged. It's not like it's a 5$ toy. Hasbro should be more careful!
