It's coming back in the states.
The price for the US didn't go up by much.
They are big spenders they won't stop buying this crap.
No worries for hasbro if we don't buy.
They can't even ship certain waves to Canada because why??

Hopefully Target exclusives start showing up elsewhere, like gamestop.

Unlikely unless TRU goes under, or decides to stop carrying exclusives.

Retailers LOOOOOOVE exclusives, it's what brings butts inside. No way they are giving those up. It will be the only thing I buy from them though.

Another thing I wanted to point out is that while prices are rising everywhere, what makes this TRU price hike egregious is that since they only work with a SKU, every other previously released toy in that same SKU gets hiked, which is nonsense. The prices of those older toys was based on how much they paid for them at the time. That cost didn't change, so neither should the price.

While I can see the logic of them doing that since their inventory system is designed that way, some items are the only item within a SKU, like Draculus, so that makes no sense either.

Damn that's bad news and I doubt prices will drop anytime soon. Good thing, I'm not really interested in anything coming out, unless they release BW transmetal reissues.

Just walked into TRU today and those price increases are disgusting. Seeing Rhinox for $50 is ridiculous as he was shelf-warming at $44.99.

It seems other items besides Hasbro items went up in price. Pokemon cards, for example, went up a couple dollars. This is really getting out of hand.

Re: ToysRUs.ca Transformers Sightings and discussion

I didn't have a Toys R Us near growing up in downtown Toronto, first time I ever walked into one I was probably in my early 20's.

When Toys R Us Canada survived the American bankruptcy, I so much wanted them to thrive & succeed. I sort of know the regular staff at the one I frequent the most pre-pandemic, lots of nice people there.

Now, with these price increases, I think I need to breakup because this company isn't treating me right. I don't think many of us want to, it hurts on the inside, but we deserve better.

Other retailers will catch up.

It's coming.

Yeah, exactly, and I don't blame a specific retailer too much when it's the prices of the products themselves that have been growing more and more unreasonable every year. $17.50 for a Deluxe after tax, man...
