Re: Is this red alert damaged
I'm always leery of a 30 year old toy with absolutely no evidence of fading, especially a white, loose toy. It took me forever to find a decent G1 Astrotrain loose with minimal fading and he isn't even white, more like off-white on the legs.
What defect are you referring too?
It's to be in impeccable shape or it's a partsformer made with reissue parts.
Added some pics
Here's the reissue

Re: Is this red alert damaged
it could be the reissue of red or a Ko a factory fault does not make it expensive,... a test shot or prototype is a far different story... we see factory faults all the time I just purchased a new generations skids and right out of the package had a factory mold fault on drivers side fender at the mirror, lots of TFs over the years have had faults in production actully most times devalues them.

Re: Is this red alert damaged
Can't be sure becuase the image is not too clear, but judging from the box in the first photo (far-left of the frame), I believe it appears to be most likely a KO or reissue.

Re: Is this red alert damaged
If you're talking about that dimple in the plastic on the left front fender, my old junker Read Alert has that too.

Re: Is this red alert damaged
I think Maz mentioned in one of his recent articles for TFsource that the reissue plastic seems almost translucent under light whereas the originals do not, so I would assume its a reissue (he used bluestreak as his example and the doors were the parts in question).

Re: Is this red alert damaged
If the concern is that the front hood does not appear to line-up with the rest of the car, than I say that,
(a) it is either mistransformed, or
(b) it is a KO
