Dot-Con 2008
Hi.
I'm kinda bummed that it's been moved at the last minute out to Markham, instead of being downtown (which is a hassle for me, who actually lives downtown!) but I'll still try to make it out for at least one of the days that Dot-Con will be on.
Anyone else here going?

Darn. I had no idea. I would have gone for sure had I heard about this earlier.

Re: Dot-Con 2008
Given the lack of experience of the staff, and the problems before the show, I think they tried their best, and still had an awesome lineup of guests for such a small show. That being said, the guests were the only real attraction, and I don't think you missed much.
My panel ended up being done in a hotel room, and since there was no schedule published, I don't think many people knew about it, except for those who walked past the room at the right time. Their dealer room was less than five dealers, and one dealer took up half the room. I didn't see any other panels going on the entire time I was there, and it looked like the staff was scrambling just to keep things going.
I think they've learned a lot from this, and will make a much better show if they do another one, however.

Re: Dot-Con 2008
I was only there on Saturday - and even then, from 1 until 7 or so.
I got Figma Rin and Miku, and a few other bits and bobs - but to be honest, I had a less than thrilling time of it.
(But then, how much of that is down to me being too damned awkward to feel comfortable approaching people I don't know?)
Shame Kari Wahlgren couldn't show, either.
Oh well - I hope the next one is held downtown, as this one was supposed to be originally.

I was at your panel, it was good. and you get to promo TFCon to at least 5 new people.
but you left too early. you missed the big blackout.
Just to face fact. I think that convention was a total washout. at least Saturday was. I'm not sure about sunday since i didn't want to go. If they are going to do another Convention next year. I hope they do their homework.
