Paramount Pictures Declare Transformers: Bumblebee Is Solidly Profitable

Congratulating*Jim Gianopulos for the 2018 turnaround success of the movie studio, Viacom (parent company of Paramount Pictures) CEO*Bob Bakish stated that Transformers: Bumblebee is ‘solidly profitable’. This was most noticeable as Viacom admitted that Transformers: The Last Knight acquired a $100 million loss for the company back in 2017 and created a domino effect which could have sent Paramount to a doomed state had it not been for their new CEO’s timely action. “Bakish congratulated Paramount for a successful turnaround, using the latest in the*Transformersfranchise as an example:*Bumblebee, he said, is “solidly profitable” while its predecessor in the summer » Continue Reading.

God, I fucking loathe how TFW acts as just free publicity for everything TF. Seibertron doesn't shit a tit for every single time Transformers has some "measure of success" and essentially post press releases, FOR FREE.

I dunno. It's one fucking thing to be a fansite and talk about things Transformers, it's another when half your main page is OFFICIAL: BUMBLEBEE A SUCCESS IN CHINA. It's so insecure and impotent.

I guess we can buckle in for another decade of really shitty Transformers movies. I'm thinking it might be a good time to give up on the franchise entirely.

Something doesn't have to be "good" to be profitable.

The National Enquirer
Coors Light
Dasani water
Most "Reality" TV
The 1980s Toronto Maple Leafs

The 1980s Toronto Maple Leafs
And 70's and 90s and 2000s and 2010s...
Go Sens Go.

But about the movie, it was a good start, and if Bumblebee was the first film in the franchise, then it would be an awesome start. Unfortunately, we were peddled 5 films of utter crap to get to here, so it's not surprising that fans are a little reserved in calling this film a fun, watchable movie with a decent plot, and very good character development. This movie truly was about a girl and her car (like the first film should have been).
