Re: How much have our collections grown since joining Cybertron.ca?

Not much actually. I certainly appreciate everyone's thoughts on the figures and its nice to be part of a community but I probably would have bought most of what I have anyway.

Now if the same poll had been about TFcon, that would be a different answer, and no I didn't learn about TFcon from this website.

Re: How much have our collections grown since joining Cybertron.ca?

My collection has at least doubled since becoming a member but I don't attribute most of that to the website in general as I would have picked up most of what I have one way or other but it did open up new avenues for me to get more items through the B/S/T threads that I previously did not have access to!

Re: How much have our collections grown since joining Cybertron.ca?

I barely started collecting before joining here (I had around 2 the most),and since then, when Animated was at it's peak, the collection grew into a faster rate.

Now,after a few years,I have gone over the 100 mark and developed a taste for certain figures on the shelves based on series, aesthetics,or even character/voice actor. And yes,it was due to this forum itself.

Thanks guys.

Re: How much have our collections grown since joining Cybertron.ca?

Indirectly this site has been an aid in growing my collection. If it weren't for the scout reports I'd probably not be able to find as many figures at regular retail.

I refuse to resort to the inflated prices of eBay or specialty shops so finding them (especially on sale) is in direct relation to the growth rate of my TF collection.

Thank you. That what was I was trying say earlier but your wording fits the question perfectly, so like Hellboy said.

Re: How much have our collections grown since joining Cybertron.ca?

I used to use a different site for tf info for AGES but the place lost control and had plenty of bad eggs. I happen to come across this site and stuck with it since. That said BW Depthcharge and BW Rampage are what started my collecting again, way back when they first came out.
This site has certainly been helpful with regards to people posting sightings and such. Also there are fewer annoying people on this site which imo is a bonus.

Re: How much have our collections grown since joining Cybertron.ca?

I found this site not long after I started.. And I would say the online community aspect has certainly caused me to expand my collection faster than I would have otherwise.

If I wasn't so up to date with what's coming and able to get things beyond the meager selection of my local brick and mortar stores my collection would certainly much much smaller.

Re: How much have our collections grown since joining Cybertron.ca?

I had just a classics universe jetfire before I typed in cybertron.ca for the first time (I was curious if it even existed). Since then I've gone as high as almost 100 but am currently sitting at 35 or so.

Re: How much have our collections grown since joining Cybertron.ca?

I was definitely a "buy what I like" kind of collector until I came here. It's been a downward spiral into "obsessive" territory ever since. Awesome ride though.

I HAVE NO REGRETS.
