Manitoba thread for non-sighting chat

This is a thread where Manitobans can discuss all thigs Transformers. Please put sightings under the sightings thread for Manitoba!

Winnipeg seems to have a sizeable group of TF fans. What about Manitoba's many other communities, big and small? Feel free to join in!

Re: Manitoba thread for non-sighting chat

hi everyone. Hopefully this thread stays active. I was born in 1980, so transformers where part of my child hood growing up. I think my favorite transformer(s) of all time was the original devastator. I never did own one, but I remember having a knockoff set. They were all different colors (yellow, orange are the only ones I can remember) but no original green. I have just recently started collecting again. I have always loved any sets that combined to make up a bigger bot, so I started collecting the combiner wars figures. Got Devastator, Defensor, and Superion. Ive got Motormaster, but none of the other Stunticons. Just need Onslaught to finish Bruticus. I also picked up the Shockwave platinum. Love them all so far

Re: Manitoba thread for non-sighting chat

Yeah i'm a child of the 80s too. I remember the Christmas my big brother got Optimus Prime. Wow! The toy was so unlike anything else i' d seen before and all the art work suggested there was a whole world of them! I had a couple gobots at the time and watched the gobots cartoon, but those lacked the magic i saw in that optimus toy (probably because i loved semi trucks). for some reason i kept getting gobots as gifts, i guess they were more available or cheaper at the time. Dunno. But finally on my eighth bday i got my first Transformer! It was Hotspot and he instantly became the leader of my ragtag collection of gobots and McDonalds transforming toys.

Here's a couple ice breakers

1. Favourite CW figure and why?

2. Titans Return - yay or nay? Why?

3. Things that should never have been done in the Bay-movie verse

4. Essential ingredients to a new TF cartoon series.

Go!

Re: Manitoba thread for non-sighting chat

Yeah, already told my wife i'll be skipping out on TFs 'cause CW was an expensive year and all those combiners take up too much shelf space. But now.... well... Wheelie, don't have a Wheelie! Hardhead, i'm a sucker for tank bots! And...and...
