I'm glad to see G2 enjoying a resurgence lately. So many cool characters have gone overlooked and unloved. It's great to see some inspired repaints.
I'm betting that we may also see Armada Red Alert as Ironfist, Universe 2.0 Hot Shot as Gobots, Energon Bulkhead as Powerdive and Energon Sharkticon as Manta Ray. *crosses fingers*

The choice surprises me, there's a lot of other characters who's alt mode fits the Prowl shape better.
Then again, it's just a rumour.

Ever since the 07 debacle they seemed have to stray away from the "A-list" characters. So a Generation 2 boxset doesn't surprise me in the slightest.
