Re: Canadian Slag Episode 28 - Menage a Cinq
I'm about half way through right now, but I gotta get my 2 cents in on the Botcon 07 debate. Classics, for all intents and purposes, was over at that point and Hasbro probably never anticipated the future Universe 2.0 line to extend it.
I'm sure that Hasbro made the seekers Botcon exclusives because they wanted to give us an opportunity to get those figures and finish the team even though the line was over. I honestly believe that Hasbro was going above and beyond there. And now that Classics was such a big hit we're finally getting our chance to get these figures at retail (Generations Thrust tells us that Dirge and Thundercracker are going to happen down the road)
Also, Daniel is right about the Henkei Thrust and Dirge are different from the 07 ones. I'm sure Hasbro could make tiny changes to Thundercracker as well.

*snickers* or they'll just reuse the same mold as the Botcon ones so they don't have to make a new mold as usual XD

Re: Canadian Slag Episode 28 - Menage a Cinq
Either way they can do something as simple as a paint app change (Hell if we got 100s of full color repaints thrown at us, a little paint change won't kill us) to the figure and do a release here, that way the Botconners have something that is INDEED exclusive to them, ditto for the Henkei people (mind you it's also a mold thing) and everyone is happy....... somewhat.

Re: Canadian Slag Episode 28 - Menage a Cinq
Just finished listening to the podcast, fun stuff (if a little disturbing). I have to agree whole heatedly about the X-overs figures being great for kitbashing. I just recently finished my custom Flywheels made from the Hulk tank and Ironman jet. I also have Battletrap in the pipeline. And Chans' Ironfist is crazy awesome!

Re: Canadian Slag Episode 28 - Menage a Cinq
Great episode guys! I lol'd for almost the whole show! Nocturn.... not how I thought he would sound lol Keep up the good work guys!
CJ
*EDIT* When I worked at Walmart I talked with a guy who hunted the Hot Wheels T-Hunt cars. Its kinda a really really lame type of scalping lol The scalper buys the only T-Hunt car in a box of 100 Hot Wheels for aboot $1.50 and sells it on ebay or Hot Wheels fan boards for around $5.00-$10.00. The profit percent is really high, but not really worth it IMO for all the running around you do trying to find 1 T-Hunt car
OH! One last piece of useless information, the scalpers who do this dont call themselves scalpers they call themselves... Hunters lol
