Re: Am I the only one NOT really excited by the Titans Return toys?
I'm pretty excited for it. Sure, I'm not buying every single toy but, there's more than enough great figures across these two lines to keep me interested.
-Fort Max!
-new Wheelie and Blurr look AMAZING
-Galvatron
-Blaster, Soundwave and all the tapes
-Astrotrain
-Trypticon

Fort max does look pretty neat now that I've seen pictures of him. I doubt I'll buy him though.

Like I said in the news thread, I do still think the figures look good, I'm just not interested in them beyond a few figures.
Maybe it's because so many of them are so close to their G1 counterparts, that I feel like I already have them, and I don't have a CHUG shelf.

Well, Trypticon won the fan vote to be the next Titan Class toy that will be produced, probably in late 2017. I don't think they have confirmed if it will fall under the Titan Returns line or if it will fall under the third Prime Wars line.

It will fall under the third arc of the Prime Trilogy. They had a Styrofoam sample of Trypticon out at the investors presentation.

I'll probably snag Skullcruncher and Mindwipe. I don't think Mindwipe looks all that hot, but he's my favorite G1 toy and I'm a mark for nostalgia.
Fort Max is a pass for me, just as Metro was before him. Trypticon is a "heck yes", though.

I'm more excited for the stuff they didn't show, though I'm pumped AF for Wheelie and I'm pleasantly surprised at how Chromedome shares no parts with Dead-end or any of his remolds yet mimics the engineering so well.

See the issue for me lies there. The engineering. I can't stand the hollow bots we're getting now, and don't see that changing anytime soon unless HasTak pushes an even more collector-centric line to fit between MP and CHUGCWTR (or whatever we're supposed to call it). I've got no problems dropping $25 on a good sized deluxe with decent detail/paint/engineering. Like Marvel 6" Legends/BAF series.
That all said, I've had a voyager Chromedome half built for a year now that desperately needs a head. If 3D printing or 3P gives a means to put the new HM heads to good use, I'm sure I'll end up buying a few that I otherwise wouldn't. Same goes for the opposite. See Scourge and Blurr.
