I am liking what I see, but another one of those trailer gimmicks.....

So now we have a scale concept

G1 Rodimus Convoy/Prime is 7 1/2 inches from the tip of his robot mode spoiler.

MP-01 Convoy was 12 inches in robot mode from the tip of his head

The gap is easily another 3-4 inches. So we have a toy that is close or equally face to face with MP-01 Convoy. Finally another big boy Masterpiece. I guess all Leaders get that size treatment.

I can't wait for this figure, I wonder if Hasbro will release a version of him as well? I may get the takara version anyway though.

I dunno if it makes me a Philistine, but I'm sort of hoping [against hope] that Hasbro releases this in North America without the trailer, as just Hot Rod. Provided he has a Hot Rod shape under the trailer shell, which I'd trust Takara to do at this point. [Although, really... I can't tell for sure one way or the other].

Not that I don't like the whole Eagle 5 Space Winnebago mode, it's just a lot of extra that I could be cool without [not to mention it'd lower the cost considerably].
