You're right and wrong: all G1 Arcee toys are based on... G1 Arcee? 
As for this particular one, I called it like, last year? I still have the pictures somewhere. It's been under development for quite some time now.

Agreed...it transforms the same as that Arcee then again G1 Arcee transforms the same way...what also makes me laugh are the people calling this a KO. It's not like they stole the molds the original was made from (cuz there aren't any), nor did they cast the custom so it's an original as far as I'm concerned.
All and all still a great lookin toy.

I like the idea. Although the transformation seems to be rather simplistic. I hope this rendering is simplifying the transformation and the real toy will be more complex.
