Re: Issues with Canada Customs?

FYI, my figures arrived today, got hit with $8.50 handling charge plus HST on the value of the figures.

Box was not opened/inspected.

Glad to hear that they didn't open it on you.

It's sad when you have to worry about customs messing your stuff up just by inspecting it.

I got a brief e-mail from the customs address I sent my complaint e-mail to letting me know they forwarded it to the correct department.

Re: Issues with Canada Customs?

I got something from the Philippines just yesterday that was at one point rectangular. They must have thought it looked suspicious, because they clearly employed the "step on it to see if it's a bomb" technique. Normally I would have assumed it was just the shitty postal service, but they left their calling card. More than 30% of the parcel paper was replaced with "inspected by customs" tape.

Hhaahahahah, that's an awesome technique. My guess is that it fell over & ended up getting squished by something larger while leaning up against a wall. That shit used to happen all the time when I worked at Canadian Tire, and I was always like wtf, why would someone pile crap like this?

In all fairness which doesnt seem like these customs people are not savy to us collectors. and it seemd like if you have lots of stuff from the US coming in they will certainly ding you cause they think you are made of money and can afford them raping you!
