Custom Classics Flywheels WIP

I've had this idea stewing in my head ever since I first seen the Marvel Crossover figures. I'm recreating the G1 Duocon with the Ironman jet and Hulk tank.
Just like he original, the jet splits at the cockpit and rests on the front and back of the tank's robot mode. I'm using an RiD Ultra Magnus head to top off the thing. All I have left to do is paint the sucker.



Here he is with the Classics triple-changers to get a sense of scale.



The best part is that Ironman's arms just pop of and can easily fit into the Hulk's hands to be used as guns! I also have Battletrap planned and just need to get some things together before I can start on him.
This is the biggest project I've taken in my young kitbashing hobby. I hope you guys like him so far.

now that's a cool idea and excellent execution so far.the only thing is imho it may suit him better if you called him "animated" flywheels.the molds just seem more animated than classics to me personally.now paint'er up

Thank you, Sir! I can see what you mean about how he could pass as an Animated figure but I think there's enough molded detail on these guys to pass as Classics/Universe.
As for the painting, I've been planning to start sometime this week. I should be able to sit down and start tomorrow. I'm planning on using a lighter brown (maybe even tan) for the tank because I'm afraid a very dark rich brown like the original could end up looking really dirty and obscure a lot of the details.

I got all the parts washed and ready to paint today but then realized that I need to pick up some more paints. I should be able to pick some up tomorrow and finally get this guy closer to completion.
