TFcon 2009 Exclusive POWERED COMMANDER Prototype Gallery
The TFcon website has been updated with a gallery of the TFcon 2009 Exclusive Powered Commander prototype. The final version will include shoulder cannons.
There are only 500 pieces of this set made for the show so if you want to reserve it for yourself please pre-register for TFcon 2009 soon as the deadline is April 3rd. The convention is April 25th and 26th in Toronto.

Re: TFcon 2009 Exclusive POWERED COMMANDER Prototype Gallery
Is the red really orangy or deep red like Henkei Prime? If it's deep red, I might be tempted to sell my City Commander/Magnus set to get that one instead...

Re: TFcon 2009 Exclusive POWERED COMMANDER Prototype Gallery
I think the red is supposed to match the red used on Classics Prime but don't quote me on it. Seems like its pretty close to both though in the pics but I'm betting the red isn't as orangy as the images make it seem to be.

The colours depicted on the prototype are not final. Should be more red.

Re: TFcon 2009 Exclusive POWERED COMMANDER Prototype Gallery
I'm a little confused by the "remolded to include shoulder cannons" part. Are they actually remolding the figure itself? I would have though they'ld just make shoulder cannon add-ons that just plug into the same holes that are already there. And what about the energon suitcase? Did they drop that?

Re: TFcon 2009 Exclusive POWERED COMMANDER Prototype Gallery
They will more then likely use the holes already there for the missile launchers and the suitcase is coming, they just weren't in the pics.

Re: TFcon 2009 Exclusive POWERED COMMANDER Prototype Gallery
Ah, good to know. I was almost looking forward to the suitcase more than the shoulder missiles. Almost. Maybe they'll drill a couple holes in the vehical mode so he can be displayed with them in that mode.

Re: TFcon 2009 Exclusive POWERED COMMANDER Prototype Gallery
Fact:
If I was able to attend to TFCON and snag one of these beauties then my Classics Prime would be towing a suit of armour instead of the upcoming G3 trailer fo sho...
He still needs an exclusive Maple Leaf faction symbol tampographed on his shoulder, IMO. Otherwise he's perfect.
