Snoke being Plageus is cool, but predictable. Still worth it considering the Plageus backstory was the ONLY creative thing about Ep.3
Palpatine clone would be too lame.

And the whole "balance" thing is ridiculous.
Why would the ep.1 Jedi council talk about Balance like a good thing, when they thought the Jedi were the only Forcers left?
