Transformers Scan series and Exclusives

The only thing that concerns me is the somewhat fragile nature of clear plastic. Other than that I think they're cool.

Spacecase, Tattoo Arcee, Homage Sideswipe and Nascar Bee are on my want list, none of the scan series though sadly.

Maybe on sale, and maybe if I can strip all the paint off and leave them all clear.

I took a good look at them at TRU yesterday, since they're now on sale for $12.67.

The front half of both looks like regular, non-clear plastic. It does not appear to be painted-over clear plastic to my eyes.

This is a bit of a bummer.

I actually grabbed both Ironhide and Sideswipe since they were on sale at TRU. I'll be honest though, the whole scan effect doesn't really translate well into robot mode. Although I love how alt mode looks.

Picked up Ironhide the other other day...woulda got Sideswipe too, but they were out, gonna look for him later today...still Ironhide is pretty awesome, I really liked the HftD mold and this takes it to a whole new level we've never really seen before that looks incredible in both robot and vehicle mode. In vehicle mode it's a nice obvious half and half split between the opaque and transparent plastic, in robot mode the transparent plastic winds up on the limbs...just too cool, like the scanning is moving from proximal to distal.

Honestly hoping there will be more then the planned 4 scan series figures.

I've got the first two Trans Scan series, Ironhide and Sideswipe, I think they look really amazing. Some of the coolest figures to come out in a long time.

I even bought the Cyberverse Bumblebee/Starscream trans scan boxset too. they're really well done figures.

I've went ahead and ordered the Nascar Bumblebee and Sideswipe from Ebay, it cost me $38 US shipped, which isn't too bad of a price. Im not sure if they are coming to Canada or not, and my walmart in Peterborough his crap for ordering stuff, so it was just easier to buy them off Ebay both at once.

Im holding out for deluxe Optimus though, im pretty sure he's coming to Canada, if not already.

So far I've been havign a lot of fun collecting the Cyberverse and deluxe DOTM stuff. Nothing else raelly seems to interest me in the lines. Maybe the HA Nascars, and Ultimate Prime, I'll see how funds go in the near future for picking up voyagers or leaders.

A couple people have removed the pain from teh figures and it is in fact clear plastic all around as far as I know.

Gots me a Sideswipe....equally as cool as Ironhide...clearly (no pun intended) this is gonna be a love it or hate it concept and I'm totally behind it. Really looking forward to getting my hands on Bumblebee and Ratchet.

Bought both Sideswipe and Ironhide, love the translucent pieces, it's going to be displayed in their alt. mode though. Can't wait for the next wave of this series.
