TFcon costume contest.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Z6EYGrGNfg

This isn't a big surprise, but maybe a little extra hype will make the competition extra fierce this year. If it's on the Saturday, I'll see what I can whip up with the spare cardboard I have lying around (and a lot of paint and duct tape).

The hard part isn't building the costume, the hard part is forcing myself not to examine every figure between now and then wondering "How hard would this be to construct on a human scale?" and drawing of schematics for each one.

I have had the concept of a G1 Megs costume bouncing around the inside my head awhile now. I wish I had the time... cause it is easier said than done.

lol if I even remotely had time to make a costume, it'd look like crap. I'm better with styrene versus fabric.

still...I could just put on a Prime helmet and go as Gubermus Prime

It is ON! If I had more money to throw at this year's TF costume, it would actually transform. Both my Bumblebee and Blackarachnia costumes cost around $200 to make (just materials) but I'll see what I can do with half of that.

Re: TFcon costume contest.

This year's costume. Ta da!

Only kidding, this is from Halloween 2003 back when I was still a hardcore Jeff Gordon fangirl (omg so looking forward to the Nascar Decepticon dudes even though #24 isn't one of them) and had freaking long hair. ...and wore jackets that were 8 sizes too big. Just thought I'd share a pic of my first 'car' costume. It was made out of cardboard, copious amounts of packing tape and construction paper. It got thrown out after my cousin borrowed it for Halloween 2004.

I keep changing my mind on what I want to do this year. I entertained the thought of making a G1 Megatron costume but that idea is on indefinite hold. Definitely leaning toward G1 due to time and budget constraints.

Whatever it is in the end, we will have the trophy waxed and ready.

***WARNING, might be kinda gross***

No sacrifice, no victory! So, I cut my finger on the straight-edge ruler... but the costume is coming along nicely!
